There are evidently many trekking companies that
service Lower and Upper Dolpo, but our experience showed that Eco-friendly
Trekking was head and
shoulders above the rest. Head guide Jit and his assistant Pawan were
professionalism personified and we could not have been in better hands. There
may be other guides as qualified and capable as Jit, but none better.
We were very happy with the foods and accommodations while Dolpo trekking and are
amazed at the work and commitment of our entire crew. They are to be commended.

I found about
Eco-friendly Trekking while looking for trekking service for Dolpo
trekking. I was
impressed with the philosophy of Krishna and signed on for this trip.
His value pricing and strong spirit of respect for the independent trekker
attracted me. And I was not disappointed. Jit and Pawan executed the
philosophy with ease and respect. It was a genuine pleasure to see two
guides so committed to the safe success of their clients. It is rare in my
experience to see such uniform client satisfaction amongst so many
cultures and experience levels. I believe their model, if expanded, could
have a major impact on guided mountaineering in that they attract mature
trekkers who take full responsibility for their own success while trekking
in such remote areas.
