Welcome: Tibet Expeditions: Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world, has only recently become a popular mountain to climb. Cho Oyu is standing on boarder between Nepal and Tibet, about 30 km. west of Mount Everest. Cho Oyu is translated in Tibetan as "the goddess of the turquoise." The south face of Cho Oyu, facing Nepal, is quite steep and difficult, and is rarely climbed. Government of Nepal has provided discount on royalty if one like to climb from Nepal side for certain duration. The north side of the mountain, accessed from Tibet, is more moderate, and there is a relatively safe route to the summit. In the autumn of 1954, an Austrian team made the first ascent via this route. Eco-friendly Treks & Expedition Pvt. Day 07 Drive from Nyalam to Tingri 4340m.
Day 08 Rest days at Nyalam for acclimatization  
Day 09 Drive from Nyalam to Chinese Base Camp 5,000m
Day 10 Rest days at Chinese Base Camp
Day 11 Prepared load to Yak for Advance Base Camp.
