Mottos of Foundation
Eco-Friendly Treks & Expedition

Additionally, we have a social responsible oriented
objectives they are related with preservation of the
fragile Himalayan ecology and culture. Mean the
while, we provide the tourism benefit to the local
people of the destinations through our long-term as
well as short term objectives.
Our Statements
The Himalayan region
is ecologically fragile. Now days, the tourist
activities in some of the Himalayan regions have
made the region more environmentally paradise to
attract tourists and earn foreign currencies. Mean
the while the fragility of Himalayan eco-system is
getting poor due to exceeding carrying capacity of
the tour destinations. It is well to be able to say
that you please leave the destination you visited as
beautiful as you found! We also hearty request you
please do not leave anything except your footprints
and do not bring anything from the Himalayas except
photos!
Eco-friendly Tourism
The tourism boom in Nepal, as in
other countries, has had a mixed blessing. It has
generated a sizeable share of Nepal’s foreign
currency revenue but few people in the tourist
destinations have experienced an improvement in
their standard of living.
In fact, for many communities, the
influx of visitors has come at a considerable cost.
In numerous places, trekking groups have left
littered trails and degraded forest in their wake.
Against this alarming backdrop, the practice of
Eco-tourism has been gaining increased momentum –
both in Nepal and around the world. This alternative
type of tourism seeks not only to preserve the
environment and culture of tourist destinations but
also to be of benefit to the local people…. By
fostering environmental awareness, both among locals
and visitors and by linking tourism to social and
economic development, is possible to preserve the
natural and cultural heritage of an area through the
promotion sustainable tourism. This not only
enhances the positive experience of those on holiday
it also helps to increase the standard of living of
the local residents. There is no such thing as total
Eco-tourism; we do however strive to make sure
traveling with us in Nepal has a minimum impact on
the environment as well as providing positive
outcomes for the local people.
Eco-friendly Appeals
We found in our previous experience
that most of trekking crews and some of trekkers are
not so much intend to care the nature & Eco-system
of trekking destinations. Because of these reasons,
the famous trekking routes of Nepal have already
started to convert as area of garbage spread routes.
Eco-friendly Treks & Expedition (P)
Ltd is sensitive on above matters. So, we are
running this company with Eco-trained trekking crews
who work always with rubbish pit attached green
belt. We believe micro controlling system of
environment. It means if everybody care for nature &
Eco-system of mountainside, it will self controlled
of getting pollution & disturbing the Eco-system.
To mention more actively our above
mottos, we have a sister concern NGO called
Eco-friendly Nepal. Eco-friendly Nepal whose,
activities are totally concentrated for proper
Eco-system of trekking areas of Nepal and in near
future those destinations where Eco-friendly Nepal
reaches.
20% profit of Eco-friendly Treks &
Expedition (P) Ltd. goes to the fund of Eco-Friendly
Nepal for activities of cleaning the trekking
routes, plantations in mountain areas, for education
of mountain people specially ecology studies.
Eco-friendly Treks & Expedition (P)
Ltd. opinions tourists are as partners who can help
to fulfill the goals of bio-diversity conservation,
cultural revitalization and sustainable economic
development.
We sincerely request you to enlighten
your porters, Sherpas, guides, villagers, to respect
nature and how to conserve it by your side. With
your help the natural beauty of Nepal will be alive
for generations in turn; Nepal’s gift to you will be
vibrant living memories.
During your trekking time, you will
encounter through many schools in villages. Those of
you who want to communicate your conservation ideas,
knowledge and experience with the local people,
please pass through school teachers so that a
multiplier effect of conservation messages could be
also radiated to all the children. If possible,
please try to make the children know how to respect
nature & natural resources.
Never encourage
children to beg. It might give you monetary
satisfaction but the begging child could also turn a
professional beggar tomorrow.
Respect the villagers
and their traditions. In turn they will give you
warm hospitality.
When you trek,
ultimately you enter wilderness. There you are alone
with your porters and the fragile nature. The
slightest negligence and misunderstandings on your
part can direct have a jarring cumulative impact on
the delicate balance of nature. Please do not spoil
this natural heritage by thoughtless negligence.
Please do not buy any wildlife trophies animal
products from the local poachers.
Please do not collect
any wild flowers, plants, fossils, orchids, rocks,
etc, unless you have the permission from the
concerned office for scientific research.

clear mountain water or litter the path with

with overseas schools and local schools in these
regions. If you know of school/s who may like to be
